Disney Traditions by Jim Shore

Disney Traditions is the result of combining the magic of Disney with the artistry of Heartwood Creek, classics such as Snow White, Tinker Bell and the Sorcerer's Apprentice are distinctively translated into figural form. This unique blend of Disney enchantment and Americana folk art offers you the opportunity to display the magic of Disney motion pictures.

Heartwood Creek by Jim Shore has been established for several years and has received numerous accolades, proved successful commercially before combining with Disney characters and stories to produce Disney Traditions. Jim Shore provides a detailed drawing of a new piece to a group of master sculptors, handpicked and trained by Jim over the course of many years. Prototypes and proofs are sent to Jim for revision and approval, and usually after several amendments, molds are produced from these original sculptures for casting using cold-cast resin. In addition, each piece must conform to Disney's own strict criteria according to factors ranging from colour to shape and expression to posture and symbolism, with numerous copyrights to uphold and protect. Disney Traditions is therefore a unique blend of designs by Jim Shore and Walt Disney with endless possibilities and will undoubtedly be a future classic.

Summer 2009 sees the introduction of Garden Traditions, a range of garden ornaments, including windchimes, statues, birdbaths and birdhouses featuring characters like Tinker Bell, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Pluto. These provide a 'Shore' way to brighten any garden!
