Kimmidoll Collection

Kimmidolls - Kimmidoll Collection
Kimmidolls are inspired by traditional Japanese kokeshi dolls and the culture behind their simplistic Eastern beauty. Kokeshi dolls were originally hand-crafted by woodwork artisans in Edo period (1603-1867) to be given away as tokens of love and friendship. Often given to newborn children as a lucky charm, they bestowed good wishes for a healthy child. It is the bestowing of luck and good fortune that forms a central part of the Kimmidoll philosophy. Each Kimmidoll character has its own individual meaning or spirit that expresses one of "Life's True Values", like kindness, joy, respect or love. This gives each doll a real identity, making for a beautiful gift, a fantastic home decorative item or a collectable that shares common beliefs and aspirations with friends and loved ones.
